When i take key out of ignition it beeps and displays message.

Hello Guys,
When i turn my engine off and take the keys out of the ignition it beeps 3 times and says on the dash key in ignition, does anyone know what this means? or has anyone had this problem and knows how to fix it?

I know youve probably fixed your problem but just to add for future searchers i somtimes get the same message and its the lock barrel not clicking back out on mine! seems its slightly out of alinment and it catches the green coller
I just push the gray part of the lock with my finger give it a little wiggle and it pops out
I would fix it but like i said it only does it once a blue moon
Just have to watch it though cos my radio stays on for about 3seconds after the key is removed so if im in a rush and i dont hear the beep as im walking away press the remote, it wont lock

That is what the blow out and graphite powder cures. :):)

As long as you haven't done something stupid like sprayed WD40 down the barrel, you're in luck. It takes longer to find a shop that sells graphite powder than it does to fix the problem.
 
You can make your own graphite powder by filing a pencil lead onto a piece of paper. Then fold the paper and pour/blow it into the sticking lock and work it in with the key.
