How? They can only ignite the fuel in the bloody cylinder, they can't control it. I would be totally ****ed off if i bought a box of ten plugs for any of my vehicles and it cost me more than £15.00.

I've always fitted standard plugs to all my cars and never had any issues with misfires or anything like that.

I've just replaced mine in the P38 with manufacturers recommended Champion ones and it's runs as smooth as anything. And I run LPG too.

all new plugs are great how long do they give that new consistent quality spark. im told iridium look like new after 30000 standard plugs not so good

When you've spent years mucking around with tuned two strokes - you learn a thing or two about spark plugs - one Champions are often duff out the box! Two, never had a duff NGK - three they don't oil up half as much as anything else! Had a fling with Bosch and they didn't seem to be much better than Champions.

I have a 1987 YZ80 which has had the same NGK plug in it since we bought it about 2 years ago. Admittedly i don't use it for commuting but still my old Fizzy used more than that, which may have been down to the Castrol R I put through it because of the smell, arrr the smell of castrol R 2 stroke:)

Well I've known at least one issue where someone has fitted super duper plugs with a super fine tip - which broke off and ruined a cylinder - it was on a turbocharged bike - but still - I'm sure it would have been fine with the standard type plugs.

i have champion plugs in mine which came as part of a 'service kit' that i bought not had any problems with them, although as they are a multi tip type plug i have been advised to change them to single tip as i run lpg and the single tip gives less problems (according to the lpg fitter) although so far 25,000 miles on and no problems with the champions

25K, you've had your money's worth then:)
