yeh i wish!
In't a 1991 old? Besides my light dun't wurk in middle settin' cos the metal thingy on the door if ferked!!!older land rovers dont have lights that come on when you open the door! They're only on the more modern defenders for lazy gits who can't be bothered to flick a switch. We're driving good ole sterling vehicles here Chris, not fancy space age crafts.
Wot you got a demistur thingy!!! Hang on, I'll go check summit.....right, up= nowt, middle= light on, down=nowt. Maybe there's sum kinda configuration thingy goin on with the switch on the light itself?!!? I dunnothe switch on the panel. next to hazards and rear window demister if i recall correctly.

mines certainly was diffrunt, it started life as a single cab, then had a shed on the back until the previous owner found sum sides and a roof. I managed to find an old series back door kickin around a farm to replace the twin walled perspex thingy!!!!! I think the wirings bin butchered a bit so my switches could be totally diffrunt to everyone else's.nah sorry just normal heated rear window thats wat i meant. doesnt work though, of course! hey its a land rover they were prob all different wen they left solihull!
I leave the switch up all the time so when the lights are on, the dash lights up. middle is still the interior light and down is nowt.If you put your headlights on and then tilt the dashboard rocker switch up, your dashboard dials should light up. It wont light up unless your headlights (or sidelights) are on. If you title the switch to the middle, no lights should come on, and the dashboard dials should not light up. If you tilt the rocker switch down, the interior light should come on.
They dont necesserily have to work in that order, they can be wired to do different things at certain points on the rocking movement!
