...and humans aren't included.

For me, it's a 13-ton steam engine. Pulled it out the shed and the back up a 1 foot long 1-in-5 ramp into the shed later that day!

I'm sure people have pulled heavier, but that's not a bad start...

pictures?? surely video is needed for things like this... i could reverse up to a steam engine, hook up a tow bar and snap a photo!

i'll video it next time... and i'm sure there will be a next time!

And remember - 13 tons on a flat, level surface ain't that much. Sure, the 1-in-5 ramp was a little steep, but the wheels are huge on a steam engine, so it probably wasn't as steep as it could have been, due to wheel size!

Does not have to be 13 tons to be a challenge.
Try hitching on a twin axle trailer with 2 tons of scrap on it,does not sound like much of a challenge then try pulling it out of a wet muddy field after two weeks with the trailer wheels half buried in the mud.

Why would that be an issue? We are talking about land rovers here aren't we?

Have you tried it?
Many times. Most days I have to drive across fields and regularly have to tow my 16 foot trailer through acres of ****e loaded with anything from another landy to timber, bales, even a 3 ton tractor once. Admittedly it was dry that time though. My landy is a working vehicle not just some ponced up toy.

Here's me pulling 80 tonnes :D:D:D

It's actually dave the shed doing a charity pull at my mate's new business venture opening ceremony!

neighbour once had a ford d series with about 5 ton of hay down to its axles.... tried tugging it with his series three and winch and wondered why the landrover dragged towards the truck.... had to give it a tug with me old jcb.

So that's no then.
I am no talking a muddy field as in the local park.
I am talking up to the axles with a trailer with 12 inch rim's with 2 tons on top. The trailer weighs 1 ton ,now try getting it rolling.

This thread's not really working, is it...

I was hoping for stories of pulling a 25 ton artic from a ditch, or pulling a 7.5 tonner out of a 6" deep wet muddy field etc...

munters in birmingham, ex wives and parts of yourselves don't really count!
