I need a new latch for my csw rear door. May as well get one with central locking bar...

Two part numbers, different pricing, can't tell the difference.

I think they both need the 20mm barrel.

Anyone know what's what?

Thank you.

Td5 will go in a Ninety but you can't put the original barrel bezel back on the door.
Pretty sure the key barrel hole is different.

I'm planning on getting a new door as well.

I've seen rusted puma ones so I reckon the box section hot dipped galvanized one is actually preferable, unless someone can convince me otherwise?

So if I get a box section door, its the FUB500060?

Does the FUB500060 use the 16mm barrels? If not I still can't see the difference between them? Sp4x4 sell the other one and say it fits earlier doors if changing to the 20mm locks...

...but from what I can tell, the FUB500060 has the larger locks.

Which brings me back to my original question! : )

I forgot to say...

If you search the part numbers on the jaguar landrover page, you get this image -

For both part numbers? Ie same image. Same text in bottom right.

Box section door, do you mean the early door?
You can see in my photo of an early door that a td5 catch fits but the diameter of the key barrel housing won't fit in the hole in the door with the bezel fitted. This might suggest the key barrel is bigger on a td5 and later.

I'm going to buy one of the ones from sp.

I'm meaning the welded ones rather than the pressed ones. My 110 is a 300tdi, but, again, I'm going to put a new door on it as the original is way beyond repair!

Do you know the part number of the catch you have? Different web sites seem to say different things.

And is the key the same (type) as the ignition barrel or is it like the original locks?

Sorry I don't know the part number or key hole type/size.
What is wrong with your original catch?
You can get repair kits on Ebay, I had a spare TD5 one so used that until we repair the original one, eventually.

The existing one has to be wobbled just right to enable it to close. I've tried doing "stuff" to it to limited advantage.

Plus it's not central locking. I know you can mod them but I was all set to buy a new one anyway, so I'll just get the one with the bar sticking out the side while I'm at it.

Just (still) trying to work out the difference between them.
