I've noticed more ladies driving Defenders lately, seems the fairer sex have a thing for em.
My daughters getting a bit peeved as she used to be one of only a few female owners around my area.

It was those proxy fiat 500 things before Defenders.
Apart from the real enthusiasts it'll be something else soon enough.
Just a fashion thing, maybe some popstar/towie bint has been seen in one?

My wife and now 21 yo daughter are always keen to take the CSW, just love it, not a fashion or towie thing for them that's for certain! A

Don't think it's a fashion thing my oldest daughter has been pestering me for awhile to buy her a Defender so she can take part in tyros and rtv trials and since the Scottish landy show at weekend youngest has decided a Defender will be her first car when she passes her test.

Think there's an ongoing issue with the vinyl seat coverings that is leaching a chemical that mimics oestrogens.. women who usually drive defenders do so without the aid of knickers.. think it's a systemic reaction that makes them feel empowered.. Bristol university was doing a chemical analysis and composition make up but the software capability for information was limited due the engine management hook up as the interfaces could not read each other..

Interestingly though .. some guys who drove round in shorts were experiencing moob growth over prolonged use, it was a southern phenomenon as obviously warmer down this way, it was unfortunately funded though by Mitsubishi so the university worried that it was a marketing ploy against landrover, so pulled the plug on future research bursaries for fear of adverse litigation from LRJ....
Models affected were from 2004_ 2009 iirc.

The strange but true worlds of landrover Nevers ceases to amaze me...

Wiv bikini's..anorl

I've just had an idea for LZ13:rolleyes:

Ah too late - I'm afraid , LZ came up with that idea four years ago in a competition :D

Maybe they like that feeling of driving around with an out-of-balance propshaft (if you know what I mean)

My pub land lady announced the other day she now had enough money to buy her dream car, a Land Rover. I asked her which one, a 300tdi or td5 110, 90 etc. She replied,
"Ummmm, a red or yellow one"!
