As it says.

Looking to build a sleeping platform to sit just below the rear windows in the 110.

Was first planing a cover only so light weight then thought why not make it so I can sleep on it.

So would 6.5mm be ok with a support by each wheel box or do I need thicker 9mm?

It will be in sections, 3 I think running across the width. These can then be lifted and slid to give access below.

i would go for 9mm if not 12mm, 6mm would not hold you

would go for 18mm myself bit late when yer fast asleep and go through bugger in the night  we use 18mm shuttering ply for fibreglass flat roofs and would'nt want to span any more than 400/450mm with it ;)
plus the weight differance is not that great between 12 & 18mm

18mm thick with support in the middle or you could screw some 2x4 battens along the base to prevent bowing spaced out at 400mm

Cheers guys. My thinking on thinner ply was a trailer tent my parents had when I was a kid the fold out bed was thin. Piano hinge to the body and then just 3 legs to support the other side. That was double bed size.

But thinking now it had fixed support. If I want to drop in takeout then need thinker stock or more support.

Thanks again. Once I get it sorted I will post some pics.
