Hi Landyzone users,
Just joined and finding my way around the site. Have got the bug for a Defender and am looking for a suitable vehicle. Thinking of a 3-4 year old 90 XS. Any advice on what to look out for? Any obvious issues on post 2007 models?

engine from a transit van (clutch not over strong) gearbox from a mondeo (made from swiss cheese ) dash is nice if you are verticly challenge if you are + 5'10" yer knees will be rammed into it .
heaters pretty good though
have had loaners a few times when my td5 90 was in for warranty and found it probably 4 or 5 mpg less than the td5, could'nt get me td5 back quick enough

I wouldn't buy one 3-4 years old. I'd go for either a new one or the last td5 if I was you. The first puma's had clutch issues which have been solved. Next problem is I'm 6'3" and my knees hit the wheel, dash and door handle (at the same time) in a new puma and it was a 110 I was driving. My 200tdi has miles more room.
