Anyhoo - if its auto (again you haven't told us the box type either) you can't jump start them obviously....

:welcome2: btw - don't forget to introduce yourself....
.
I think you meant to say "can jump start them", ie, using jump leads.

But did you know you can also pull start them.

Decent strong long tow rope, pop the auto into neutral.
Get it pulled at up to minimum 35 mph.
Slip it into "D" drive.

Just try it, it will spin the engine, mark my words.

Gra.

Sorry but i cannot see that. Where is the box getting oil pressure from to engage the drive clutch?

When you say it won't jump start. Do you mean it won't turn over? If that is the case think you have lost sync to EMS. If that is the case think the 4.0 litre won't turn over at all whereas the diesel will but won't fire. Think you need someone close by with a syncmate or Nanocom for your model.

Just to confirm Doug's reply, 4.0 GEMS won't turn over.

I can't remember that either Tony, but if the battery is flat you can't bump start any modern car, no power, no ECU function:)

Specially if it's a P38 auto. :):):)

You can do with a manual P38 though what Keith says makes sense so I'd better not tell the old girl or she'll want to stop cooperating!

EDIT: Sorry, Nodge, for your problem I'd second the notion that its RF related plus a bad battery and/or alternator.
