money grabbing coonts! :frusty::frusty:

Local hydraulic hose place will make one up for not a lot of dosh.

Not strictly today but on thursday i chopped the front bumper on my disco and fitted some Ring fogs in place of the rotten water filled ones that were there previously.

Managed tae get intae town in mine the day:D
Yesterday me drive way had thawed a bit and refroze to make it a perfectly flat sheet of ice! Luckily it snowed last night to give a wee coatin' and enough grip tae get down it!

Tried second gear difflock and low box but just kept slidin'! Managed tae get the bus stopped before ah did any damage and reverse it back up the drive.

Went for a spin in the local bog.

also had to bite the bullet this morning and order the oil return pipe for the turbo for the old 90  they did get the price wrong tbh when i asked on saturday still £73 aint a bargain
tried to get 1 made at a hydraulic hose factors but he said its beyond him as the flexi braid between the 2 ends is so short, said it would be in the region of £45 if he managed it so think i'll go with the genuine 1 last thing i need is that fooker giving out on the plains or in the middle of some laning and sieze the motor :D

Due tae the really crap weather we're havin', ah decided tae make a radiator cover.
Went lookin' for some ply I thought I had but couldn't find it... typical! Ah did find summit else tho';)

An old bit o' chequer plate...

Radiatorcover001.jpg

took the measurements and cut a bit out to size...

Radiatorcover002.jpg

then ah buffed all the edges so there wasn't any sharp bits. then ah guesstimated the wee bend near the top and placed it on a bit of wood and stood on it to roughly get the shape.

After that, ah used a spare grille ah had and marked all the holes for drillin'....

Radiatorcover003.jpg

Once drilled and checked to see if the holes matched up (after a wee bit of drillin' the holes a bit longer) ah stuck it on the bus and marked up the holes for the spotlight wires....

Radiatorcover004.jpg

drilled the holes fur the spots and stuck a couple of grommets in....

Radiatorcover005.jpg

poked the wires through and screwed it all up....

Ah wasn't quite happy with the plate just screwed on as is, so went and got some draught excluder and stuck it on tae give a better seal...

Just need tae give it a paint now and that'll be it;)

Ah noticed a difference when ah went into town as it got upto temp a lot quicker thanit normaly would;):D

will that not block too much airflow off the engine buster??.

Not too sure mesel' GD, but thur's plenty air that gets in from below the bus. Wasn't sure wether to cut some slots in front of the intercooler or not... but seein' as ah can't really get above 30 at the most with the condition of the roads ah'd thought ah'd leave it just now to see;)

what's wrong with a standard square carpet tile zip tied to the grill ? :)

perfect size for covering the rad whilst leaving some flow for the IC
