Fell off the bonnet of my 110 after standing on it to tie stuff to the roof rack. Think I hit the winch on the way down. Split my elbow open and I think it may be broken too, bad left leg limp but can but a bit of weight on it. I don't bounce like I used to at 61. Leg has gone rock hard around the painful bit but no bruise there after 5 hrs, dunno what that means.
12 hr waits at a&e at least so I'll see how it goes tomorrow.

watch out for skin going warm and shiny and perhaps a bit black then it’s time for a&e

Ah, my brakes hit hot all of the time. At least i think they must be getting hot

I haven't looked at the adjusters beyond ensuring they were all backed fully off. To be honest, i bought it with binding brakes. I had to get it recovered from the seller to mine. I was hoping someone else had fitted the shoes upside down/back to front. Hell, inside out. Just some way that when i put the new ones in it would cure it. But no. Next step is new flexible pipes and wheel cylinders and probably at the same time brake pipes from the master cylinder back. I intended to do that when i bought it but had fingers crossed that new shoes would cure the initial binding problen. It looks like i'l have to go with Plan A after all. It's just a bit annoying as i wanted to take it to Stoneleigh on Sunday as it will be 46 years old on that day.

Fingers crossed nothing is broken! Hopefully it's just bruising.
I haven't 'bounced' for a while, but at 58 and after several hours over a couple of days on my knees 'praying' to my brakes, i'm discovering i have bum muscles that are aching like hell!
This is why i like to drive my vehicles the ten miles to my cousin's garage and throw money at him until he throws the keys back at me and tells me "job done, now bugger off!" Sadly i don't think the 101 would make it without having to call the fire brigade to put the brakes out.

I didn't fix myself as hoped so went off to a&e 8.30am this morning so nearly 24 hrs after my mishap.
It's now 4.20pm and I've just come out of x Ray. A dose of morphine made the x Ray procedure more bareable. :vb-weyes:

Just waiting on results now.

Nowt wrong with my leg that time won't heal. Broke the pointy bone in my elbow, waiting on a tetanus jab and a sling, got fracture clinic Monday morning.

I also had a falling down incident earlier this year, caught the threshold in a clients gaff and unwittingly auditioned for a bit part part in The Professionals.

Hey, although not especially remarkable in any way, I've just taken my small trailer down to my local scrapyard with a years worth of 'stuff', then called at a mates garage to clear his 'stuff' + some free logs & its now full again!! However, what IS remarkable, is that your trailers design looks identical to mine - absolutely! I purchased mine from a mate who was short of cash & loved indespension units - I don't which was why I was fine with the failing due to rust suspension at the time. I converted it to take a Renault van rear beam axle & leaf springs which I personally love on trailers. The chassis on mine is galvanized which defo appealed to me & has a little brass plate on the front headboard above where the A frame joins the trailer main frame. What really gave it away in your photo was the height of the lower horizontal rails - a well solid trailer! Nice to see another as I've not seen a twin to mine which has from new been equipped with a winch mount just above the headboard & a spare wheel cradle which is now obsolete as the Renault wheels are 14" instead of the original 13". A great little trailer!

I brought mine from a guy near Aylesbury, a few years ago. I thought it was a home made job.
I need to replace some of the side boards.
The frame and floor are metal, I like it because I can fit 4x8 sheets in it.
Non of the brake mechanism works now, but it does a job.

Fitted a new aluminium brake reservoir and choke cable to the 101.
Fitting the choke cable would have been SO MUCH EASIER if i could have been in two places at once. As i wasn't it was a bit of a pain.
On a positive note, i began the exercise with a 20mm open ended/ring combination spanner but due to the spatial restrictions around the nut ended up with two spanners. One ring and one open ended. Both around half the length of the original one...

Fixed the handbrake, well took it apart, cleaned it up and put it back together with a wee tweak of the adjuster nut, well I didn't, @Tirran did, I watched, he did a great job

Removed the passenger door trim etc to access the aftermarket Hawk central door locking wiring and actuator as it had stopped working on that side. I'd checked the control box and a signal was being sent so took a closer look. The convoluted tubing holding the two wires was full of water and the bullet connectors to the solenoid had rusted out

Cut them off and replaced them with new ones and heat shrink tubing and a few wraps of tape.
AOK now. Kerplunk-kerplick!
