Well I've cut card to the shape of the two different bits of roof visible over the front cab and cut 4 pieces of sound proofing/high density foam to fit. I've fitted two pieces and test fitted one of the side bits. Once all eight are in place I can do 4 pieces in the van section then above the safari door with ali to match what is lower then my roof will be smooth enough for one complete sheet of material and a covering of thin carpet like lining which should give me a nice roof lining. Then when the van panels are replaced by the window panels I just need to do that bit too.

Today i have made and fitted my steering guard and changed the rear a frame ball joint.

I bet the chassis would bend before that, looks great :D

Adjusted the diaphragm on the fuel pump properly to suit the allisport intercooler and new waste gate feed position (on the inlet manifold)... Wow what a difference, pulls like a train now, even with the discovery transfer box and 265/75 M/T's. Only a bit of black smoke at full tilt :D

You know what they say, No smoke no poke :p:D

Nothing on mine but attempted to fit disc's and pads to the back of my brothers 110.
Soon went to **** when the caliper bolts were mangled , Got them out in the end and then got dark. So have to finish them in the morning.

I had to make it smoke a bit, Best saying ever :D But on a serious note it really does shift low down, and now thanks to the disco transfer box I'm not changing gear all the time. I get between about 5mph extra each gear, makes a difference :)

The first job of the day was to get Mary my series III 109 into the garage, not as easy has you think with all the wood for the stove that was in there.
Then I removed the turbo from Mary, she is fitted with a 19J engine that was smoking like a world war two destroyer, I also droped the oil.

That's it I have had enough. I have changed three thermostats and just about to change my third engine temp sender unit. All came in the famous blue box. Going for a better quality one this time round.

Ha ha,
It is the guide system that will allow the spring hangers to move up and down 500mm, when I want to raise the axel to reduce drag etc...
Take a look at the rest of my photos and it might explain my mods more. Lol:D

.......puts my removal of front o/s brake line into perspective.......
