set up the transfer linkages after doing the clutch...had to do it twice though cos I temporarily lost high box
Used the sticky tape ones before (peugeot). They not too bad to fit. Make sure you degrease the mating face fully. I held mine in place and put a couple of bits of masking tape on the top. Held it up, pulled the film off tape and put back down. It just helped to get it right first time. Failing that use clear silicone (did on my jeep as got them 2nd hand). That way you get a bit of wiggle time to line it up properly
It depends on the type. My girlfriend has some on her corsa and they go inside the window channel. I nearly did one in fitting them. Warn soapy water then the degreasing wipes. Warms the rubber slightly and cleans most the crap off, then the wipe to remove the residue. If I remember rightly I used glass cleaner aswell.

... so, today's 'project' had to be one with minimal chance of going wrong.
I decided to replace the rusty screws on the wing-tops vents with a stainless variety - about a fiver from Defender Bits (incl P&P). Even I couldn't get that wrong!

Fair play fella, I use the very same stainless screws and find that as long as you remove the old ones by unscrewing counter clockwise and then fitting the new ones with a clockwise movement you don't go far wrong
