Had an afternoon on the project 90 (Desert Rat) while it was raining and windy.

Welded up the cracked rear bump stop mount and fitted new bump stops to both sides.
Chassis very good considering its 23 years old !

Put new spring carriers and new springs on to rear axle ready to fit tomorrow.

.

EDIT,,, just noticed it's not central, I'll fix that tomorrow

Sorted the boot door lock on the disco, then decided to take the speakers out of the door, as they sound ****e now, and well passed it. Going to mount a drop down shelf on it, for the old camping stove :)

Not the shy, retiring type then?

;)

Like the remote res shocks, are they adjustable too?

Just been reading a book I was given. "The Land Rover experience"
Discovered what tyre pressures I should have been running on. What a difference, much smoother. 1.8 Front 2.0 Rear up to 3.3 if fully loaded.

Work college rang me up mid day saying his car bat was flat in the middle of a collage car park, went and give him a jump start :)

changed the UJ's on me rear Prop. what a bastid of a job. :( whilest pressing em out using the 2 sockets and a large vice option I was watching the yoke close without the cups moving  so whilst under tenshun. I gave the yokes a good #### with an hammer. :) and they promptly sprung back, and broke the resistance on the cups :D they was well fooked no rollers at all in 2 of the cups  I hate greased for life ****e..

the piles of rollers/dust etc is what came out of each cup.. Note the conical shape of the worst pin.

Have been driving it in MOndo mode since Monday night..

Changed both bushes on lower link.
Huge problems with worn rusted bolts, heat, grinding off etc. Was fun burning out bushes and avoiding toxic fumes and spitting rubber. Cutting and knocking out old bush sleeve with blunt hacksaw was only slightly more bearable than pressing the new one in with the vice, don't know weather me or the vice was going to break. Look forward to doing the other side when I've recovered!

Trying to work out why the towing pin wont go in. Must be wonky hitch but dont look it. Pin goes in ok on other hitches. And will driv in with a #### off big hammer.
