Used it to ferry the teechers to the highest school in Kernow - they was all stuck at the bottom of the hill on account of the sheet ice that caused mayhem in E Cornwall this morning.
The Police reported 100 accidents in 3 hours (and that's just the ones that were called in to them) and closed a 40 mile stretch of the A30 and a 10 mile stretch of the A38 (the only trunk roads in the county).
Twas feckin horrendous!

Ooo We got pulled over by plod on the A38 on the way to trago  back in the summer. They were looking for Red Derv, every other ****ing thing in the layby was a Farmer or in a Pick up..

Well, not today, but over the past few days, since I'm still getting used to it I've...
Cleaned it, inside and out
Played around under the bonnet with oil, brake fluid and windscreen washer fluid.
Searched furiously for a fuel tank switch (my old ex-mod one had one) to find out it doesn't have one!
Took all the door panels off to fix the central locking, to realise it doesn't have central locking!
Bought it a present (a pretty new little roof rack), hope it likes it
As well as the obligatory showing off to the guys at work!

Oh, and my personal favourite, blocking my brothers car in its space, leaving the keys in the ignition and walking away, I know hes too scared to drive it! He'll learn.

I dont live far from Patricroft (home of the Gardner Diesel) my dad had a 100 hp one in a wagon and drag pulling about a 15tons load at 32 mph max. I drove it quite a lot when I was 14 or so. Went on to drive all the other engines, 150, 180 and 240 hp with the 180 being the best in my opinion.
Like the way that lots of the mating surfaces on the engine did without gaskets as the tolerances were that fine.
Dont forget the small fuel filter above and behind the fan, catches a lot of folk out does that one:)

happy days:D

Changed the oil in me Disco. I've got to buy one of those easy drain things. Anything to save me getting hot oil up my sleeve again and all over the steering linkages and the yard floor!

Checked the oil after filling it and it's still looking black (and, yes, before you ask, I did flush it first). How long did the last owner leave it 'tween changes!!??? Going to do it again in a couple of thou I reckon.

not had to do anything to my landy for coming upto 6months now....getting worried its a reliable slitty in disguise!!eek!!

Put bling Disco front springs on me depender (colour by Japlac)

Changing 'Shake n Rattle' fer 'Roll'....:D
