Sounds like you have two problems

1. A mystery power useage.
2. A failing battery.

Look for a 100amp battery for your disco. Will be much better. For now stick it on a charger at night

I've fitted a new battery but it still won't start. Start clicks when key is turned and I have pushed it forwards in gear in case the started was/is jammed.
Anyone got any ideas please?

I had something similar a few months ago. It turned out to be a small (low current) cable on the starter, the one that activates the solenoid. It was on a spade connector which was making poor contact. I cleaned it up and squeezed its jaws together with pliers and it has been fine since.

Found a back road untouched about 8-10" deep of snow.......:):):):):):):):):)

Then burnt my finger on some metal I just cut with the angle grinder. Glad there was plenty of this white stuff around

Yesterday, not today, was razzing around the farm roads that were still covered in nooice snow, sliding around a bit, showed a friend how it climbs up some banks. Then it was his turn in his mg... couldn't get out the drive let alone up the road, funniest things i've seen in a while :D

Sounds like an air leak in the system.. check your fuel lines for diesel seeping out. With the added biofuel in the standard forecourt diesel it can eat through some rubber pipes and fuel pump innards rendering the pipes porous and the pumps not getting up to pressure, I have first hand experience with it in red diesel and need to change a complete fuel pipe system on a 05 John Deere as they are oozing diesel.

all those jobs done, swivel joints, wheel bearings, calipers, pipes, steering arms and steering damper and she passed her MOT at first ask.:D

Has my rear Diff gone?
Driving along a dirt track this afternoon on my back from a 80 mile round trip and suddenley withoout any warning I lost all drive. I loud grating noise was coming from what appeared to be the rear diff. No drive what so ever I tried to make sure that it had not slipped out of gear both from the gear box and from the transfer box. I tried it in diff lock and managed to get the drive back again to get me home. Once home I checked again in normal drive but still just a grating sound as if the cogs were grating but not catching. Still works when diff lock is engaged.
Any suggestions guys?

It was one of the rear drive flanges. replaced it and now its fine.

removed Fuel tank from the disco and drained 20ltrs of diesel out of it and put it into the 110 :D Managed to get it to lean over to about 45degrees as well. Not bad for a disco with no axles and sitting on concrete Blocks. Note to self when trying to remove blocks from under car to lower it. Use 2 jacking points, or only take 1 block at a time out of each corner :0
