Well over weekend , had door sorted so it closes better( need new lock but that can wait )
New door seal on middle door , so kids can get out on pavement instead of into road. Refitted cb after it fell off and replaced spare wheel cover.
Sorted out my tools, worked out what they all did, opened my new pack of screwdrivers and put them all in a box in the beast , along with the Haynes manual. Just got to ger a set of jumo leads and I'm done, mine have gone walkabout.

That you for my assistant for the day who provided labour and eye candy opportunities :D

Stripped down steering box drop arm and track rod end, decided steering damper had seen better days so that came off as well , then adjusted pre - load on swivel housings .going to replace drop arm ball joint t/r end and steering damper then change hub oil and diff oil then on to back end to replace rear shocks a frame ball joint and bushes .the joys .....

Fitted a new exhaust which now compliments the electronic ignition. Roof off and had a short evening spin in the sticks with me mate. sweet :D

Perfect weather for working on a Landie  .. I'm interested to hear a bit more about the "terrafirma steering damper", my discoII steering damper has a bit of play in it and needs replacing, how does the "terrafirma" one compare? much improvement (I wont be doing any heavy off roading, -just though if it needs replacing, might as well look at upgrading!) ?
