oh yes - congrats to Fleck :d
yu dint see a green disco full of kids and two distraught girlees on ya travels - did ya?
Just fitted my snorkel, a lot easier than expected 2 hours start to finish..even got the doris involved anorl
I might get my coat back one day
Still got to run the axle breathers up it and make sure it's fully airtight but the scary bit (cutting holes in me car) is done.
bet she was all excited when you said you had a fur coat for her to keep the cold out
would this be work done before the plains thread barmatt??
lol
I bought that for meself but never got the chance to wear it
why not buy her 1 that fits her better
Kinda, I'm using the plains trip as an excuse to add some bits I've wanted for a while
had a "little" parcel waiting from paddocks when i got home this after
glad to see the back of those 2 insa turbo special tracks off the front and get full set of the 285 m/t's on the old 90
ouch......Finally got the f***ing bottom crank pulley un-done! 3/4 Bar with a 30mm Impact Socket and a 10ft Scaffold bar on it.... + 15 Stone pulling on it!
Had to make myself a nice little locking tool, which worked really well and held the crank
those old VW 60-70's had 4 bolts to crank shaft think a 15mm socketouch......
v-dub aircooled flywheel bolt - they do one that bolts through starter bolt hole/gearbox bolt hole, and locks into 2 starter ring gear teeth.
think it used 34mm socket, 3/4 bar also, and same scaffold bar too!
has to be done up silly tight for an old v-w......
thanks for the info fur trapper, but I remember helping my son undo the single flywheel bolt to replace the O ring oil seal on one of his v-dubs..those old VW 60-70's had 4 bolts to crank shaft think a 15mm socket
