Now fitted :D

I'm delighted with the ebaY purchase: brand new OEM steel wheels and Michelin Latitudes for a pretty good 'secondhand' price :) . I also think they look more as nature intended, but I suspect I'm alone in this :rolleyes:

So I've returned my Landy to a more stock spec that better suits my usage for the foreseeable future. Sigh ...

I'll probably sell the four removed steel wheels and Goodrich T/As in due course - a bargain for somebody as the tyres are hardy worn at all. Watch this space :)

No Chance.

I gave the panel measurements to the assistant manager at work and went to give him the size of the writing. He told me not to worry they'll sort it without the font size.
The bloody signs are HUGE. They fill the whole window blanks.:doh::doh::doh: They're that big they are bigger than the bonnet signs on our MAN TGA twin deck transporter.:eek:

So...tackled the wheel bearing this evening - and hit a snag. The bearing fits the stub axle when tried on its own...but when fitted to the hub, I cannot for the life of me get it to slide on to the stub axle. Is there a secret to this? or just keep trying til it goes?


Also lived up to the old adage : give blood...work on your landy! :D

Very fine wet un dry paper and slippy stuff

did you use a lubricant
 
its not emery or lubricant but it is not fitting square ,pull on and off a little in a way that taps brg on with hub ,dont pull back too far or you will pull rear hub seal out

Cheers James...was afraid it was that kinda reason - just hoped there was a sneaky lil fix...oh well...try again tomorrwo :)
 
Today I used mine for a little trip to B&Q to get a new toilet.
My 3 yr old daughter was at the loo turned 90 degrees and pushed on the shower with her feet and completely moved the john 2 inches busting the connection to the effluent pipe!!!!
Phhhheeeeewwwweeeee
New one is now bolted down good and strong.
