Update! the story gets weirder. Can't find any evidence of head leak! They're wondering if the stats jammed, backing everything up and temp/pressure is forcing water out the relief valve. I'll be ****ed off if it is the stat, I've already replaced it twice in the last 18 months. We'll see what happens once they've done it:confused:
Further update, the saga continues...... stat replaced, along with new pressure cap as a precaution. Car runs for 2 hours in yard without a problem, no overheating, no excess pressure, no leaks. Mechanic takes it out for 1/2 hour, again no problems. I take it home, I take it out that night for about 2 hours again no problem.

This morning I head out, get about 8 miles from home, pull up at roundabout and clouds of steam appear from under bonnet. Closer look reveals a 3" split in the top tank of the rad! Manage to limp it the 8 miles back to the yard. Now the head is definately coming off and hopefully we'll find out what the F@*K's going on.

Gave mine a treat the other week. I bought a new battery. The old one was on it's way out. However within a week the new battery went flat.
Fan belt checked and was ok. I found the electrical conection from the Alternator was loose. Having tighten it I then checked it with a volt meter which shows only a charge of around 12 volts. According to the Haynes book it should be 14 volts. So a new one is on its way.

Replaced the climate control bulbs, got some new boots fitted fixed the rear seat lock cleaned oot the backend and gave it a wash oh and fitted a new rear wiper blade

Replaced front near side j nuts and window mechanism.

New barrel locks next and then a full service, in preparation for the run to Gaydon.

Changed the front barrel locks this morning, as per Buster's guides.

Sorry no pics as it started ****ing down - must be getting soft!

Rear door barrel next week.

Failed to fit the Nato hitch as the bloke supplied bolts that are too long :( Didn't have time to get out and buy some more so it'll have to wait now. I did fit the new trailer socket though.

Converted the Heater from the useless Variable Switch, to a simple on and off switch :) and Refited the Steering Cowling that had been removed by a previous owner...
