Weld patches into the metal surrounding were the boot was, generally made it tidy. Then undersealed it :)

Boot is already to fit now... Just waiting on the bits for the seatbelts (I Probably could weld the boot in then sort the seatbelts out but there is no real point)

Rear door hinges were starting to rust so cleaned them up with a dremmel and primed n painted them. Had a butcher's at the bolt's holding bumper onto chassis, rusted up good style & couldn't shift em ... looks like I'll have to grind them off when I buy the new bumper:doh:

Pressure washed the chassis, gearbox and any thing else left behind the bulkhead. Good news is no holes in chassis :D bad news is that the replacement rear cross member looks like it was welded on by a drunk :rolleyes: as there is tons of welding wire sticking off the weld, holes along the weld and it looks misaligned which may explain the difficulty getting the tub off. :doh:

Changed the steerin' damper bushes last night... made big difference tae the steerin':D
Tonight ah've changed transfer box oil, gearbox oil, checked clutch fluid, checked brake fluid, checked power steerin' fluid, checked coolant and washed me air filter.
The morn ah'll oil me air filter, change the engine oil and have a general goin' over fur me MOT.... might take the intercooler out and give it a clean while ah'm at it;):D

I've continued the work on the discovery
today I removed the rear prop to clean the handbrake.... The amount of mud inside was unbelivable...
It's now completly clean and copper greased and working on 3 clicks

had my landy attacked again.:mad::mad::mad:

Sorry to hear that Ratty..

I miss a lot of things about the uk...but not the constant worry about thieves. :mad:

I only ever lock my landy when im at work.. i've had 2 ammo boxes in the rear tub filled with tools, ropes, spare diesel pipes etc for over a month now, and i keep meaning to put locks on them!! But because im not worried i never seem to get round to it...

Probably will do the day before i come over to the uk!!! Sad that..

changed me engine oil and filter, changed the hose from cyclone breather to sump, oiled up me air filter and tried fixin' me horn problem.
Got the horn switch workin' then lost the headlights when ah stuck it back together! Stripped it all out again and got lights workin' but intermittent horn, stuck it all back together to find me fog light didn't work!!!! Think ah've got it sussed now... or at least ah'm hopin' so!;)
