I've got to be honest trew, that looks the bollocks ! (landy's a bit shiny though....)

cheers, quite proud of it meeself.
I came up with the idea for the logo and Hybrid Girl drew it up on Photoshop for me (fanks HunnyBuns, yer a star). then I added the text and took it down to a local place who cut the vinyl and applied it. less than £100 for both sides and the spare wheel cover.

Got me business graphics fitted.

Been making a snorkel .... well, practising making the bends in drainpipe !!!! ;)

Lot of messing about at first, tried bending using a heat gun, easy to do but the bends crumpled and left bulges all over, inside and out. Then cutting and plastic welding, using a blowtorch! Not a good idea ... got some pics (if anyone's interested!) of the results and why I discounted them. Then decided to cut and glue .. haven't got 'proper' glue but as this is only a trial before I do the real thing I used gripfix .. nice blue colour so it shows up. Made a jig, cut my slots, bent the tube, glued it and held together with a strap.

So far so good, another installment shall be along when I do the real one and fit it .. ;)

Took about an hour with all the faffing and getting the angles right, but it ought to be worth it. Thinking about using a bicycle inner tube 'sleeve' over the joins too, or self-amalgamating tape. I'm going to make a similar bend at the bottom so there's less flexible hose needed, then work out how to plumb into the 300 Tdi standard airbox. I have a spare airbox and inlet tube I can play with and a few ideas, so once it's done and I think it's strong enough and watertight (obviously) I might think about making a few kits up and see if they sell!!

Would anyone be interested? No idea of price yet, depends on how the airbox attachment works and what it needs, but I'd reckon under £100.

thats pretty much how i made mine but i just did mine by eye and threw it together.................

trew thats a handsome bit of kit you got there!

I did mine by eye first but it was leaving too many gaps when closed up, hence why when i got it right I did the 'jig' so I could saw the same and tried again a couple of times with a view to making three or four ...

How've you connected to the airbox?

Fitted my CB. Only to find out the only channel with anyone on it was 19. And those were two guys talking about there being no-one on CB!

19 is calling channel so that's usually where yu'll find peeps. Only most of em are too fick to move to another channel once they've established contact.

But CB is pretty dead nowadays. truckers & tractor drivers are about all you'll find. 99% of the time.

Fitted one new dizzy cap, only got two leads wrong Bub Bub Bub Bang Bub Bub Bub Bang.
Soon fixed though and now she goes like fvck. or is it just me?:D

I polished a terd, and my horn that did not work. New earth fixed it. Then took all of my tools from my van, and put them in the turd. To make room for guitars and drums amps, to take my little girls band to play at festival 2 in the big town. Would have took turd but needs clutch and mot.
