Film the lights with yer phoneI find it extremely difficult to check my brake lights as my legs are not long enough to depress the brake pedal whilst I get out to have a look..

I know it sounds unbelievable but I have neither wall nor glass that I can back up to! And it doesn't work with trees and shrubs.Glass, or even back up close to a wall, so you can see the lights are working in the mirror?

Short piece of wood on thepedal then and adjust the seat up so ot holds the pedal, failing that leave brake lights on for a bit then see if bulbs are hotI know it sounds unbelievable but I have neither wall nor glass that I can back up to! And it doesn't work with trees and shrubs.

If I waited for them, I'd wait forever, except when Royalty are visiting their Welsh abode, and then they would be too concerned with looking efficient than looking for law breakers!......... wait for the Heddlu to pull you and get a free roadside check. !!!

Now that I can do! What an ingenius suggestion!leave brake lights on for a bit then see if bulbs are hot
Yes, he would come and have a look at them but trying to get a simple answer out of him is ......... ! I get about twenty questions asked as to exactly where he is expected to look! He fails to understand that there will only be 3 lights if they are working and it doesn't matter where they are for the purpose of just making sure they are working! Will your husband come out and have a look at the lights for you?
Sadly, that doesn't work when one reaches a certain age.Just been to the local beauty spot & flashed my head lights, then some young lady in skimpy clothes came over so asked her to check the rear lights for me.
So polite she even asked if there was anything I wanted a hand with.
I put her on axle stands ready for removing the prop shaft tomorrow (hopefully to tighten the sloppy drive nut).

I failed after several attempts to remove the 9/16 nuts. Thanks to @neilly for the link to get the proper tool!!
