What have you done to your Landie today.

Yep ordered new seatbelt today & fixed the light & my mates doing the welding Friday morning
Then she's off n running for another year ;)

That's good :)

I booked my landy in for a few treats next month inc getting the chassis treated with dintrol. Was going to do it myself but decided it would be more sensible to get someone to do it for me so I can just go out for lunch and get my nails done or something :D

Did a bit more pre MOT stuff. I tightened the driver's side rear wheel bearing, gave it a good hose underneath while the wheels were off, put a special MOT seatbelt on the driver's side front that only ever gets used for MOTs and has never been slammed in the door, and put the expensive new windscreen wipers on. I also put a little nut and bolt through one of the plastic mudguard extensions to fasten it to the bodywork and stop it flapping about.

i would definitely recommend some other poor sod to do it ,i did mine,it resulted in 6 towels being binned, this was after i put them in the washing machine which had interesting results and many swear words:eek:

i dintroled the landy and used waxoyl on the transit, they both look the same, dintrols more expensive, either one kills washing machines

Haha! I was going to do it myself... Bilthamber for the inside and waxoyl for the the out but after spilling an entire can hammerite on my decking that leaked underneath and out onto the drive I decided I probably shouldn't attempt it. I've put a plant pot over the mess on the drive :D

Getting some chequer plate fitted and some KBX intake covers and maybe some front lamp guards :)

A perpetual problem, I find

This morning it came to me (had some sleep).

Put it in gear, crank it over and it slid straight in.

Sometimes I just need to step back for a while. [emoji3]

Just discovered back box has broken from exhaust pipe....... It's always something!!!

Gave it a turn over this afternoon whilst tinkering with odds and sods.

All of a sudden the engine died. Along with a strong smell of diesel.:eek:

Opened the bonnet and the sodding thing was dripping in fuel. The pipe had blown off the top of the lift pump.

Happy days............... NOT!

Got mine tomorrow too. Good luck. Feels very personal sometimes, doesn't it?

If failed on:

Both headlights aim
2 track rod ends
2 missing bolts on n/s out rigger to body
the bottom rubbers on the front dampers
fuel cap seal missing
n/s wiper blade rubber split
rear brakes not working....

I've just got into bed having not eaten all day and getting up at 5:15 for work but that list is now

Both headlights aim
rear brakes not working.

The brake discs, pads, callipers, pins etc are ready to collect in the morning and I'll get them done Saturday evening.

Then I'll take it for the re-test on it's 21st birthday which is Tuesday. The MOT test station said that if the light adjusters are not seized they will adjust them for me so I've given them a squirt and tested them and they are nice and free.

Got swing away spare wheel carrier on at last :)

Got my new wheels and tyres so will be fitting them later.

If anyone has not seen the difference between 265/75/16 and 7.5x16 see pic. The new ones are on 16x8 deep dish (ET-35) modulars, the old are 16x7 modulars so I hope to pop them on, no reduction is steering lock, but will protrude 3 to 4cm.

Oops. Anyway it sounds like things are in hand with the repairs.

I'm just back from the garage. All is well - no faults and no advisories. The smoke test is considerably better than last year, which is curious but nevertheless welcome news.
