1) how big was the hole before yu started?
2) how big was the weld when yu finished?

Found a rust hole, cut it out
to this
made a flush fit plate, tacked it in and then welded round the edge
Looks ok to me, spent a couple of mins grinding it to get it flat and neat. I was worried about stuff melting/catching fire on/in the bulkhead so i did it in small burst on opposite sides with plenty of time to cool down inbetween welds.
Just went on what i had been told, read and watched others do, dont think it came out to bad but would welcome comments
