My heater thingy, knob on the right of the console was stuck on hot I took the right side bit of plastic off and lifted up the metal bit on a spring that keeps knob in place after moved and it works now. Oh and I lifted up the seat and cleaned the top of the diesel tank. At least I think it's the diesel tank....

Replaced the earth on the near side headlight, no more dim lights.
Crimped the fuse connections so that the fuses don't keep rattling loose and attached my purple Luke tow strap that I acquired from Modified Nationals over the weekend.

Installed fuel tank, tidied electrics up a bit, installed fuel filler pipe and breather pipe too

Tomorrow I may put the body back on if I can be arsed if not I'll just be measuring stuff up and riveting bits together

Well ive fitted rebuilt CAV injectors to my series 3, set up fuel distributor unit the difference is amazing before I had smoke pouring out on tickover. Now once warm she runs completely clear sounds beautiful and has much more go in her really pleased with results total cost £110

With the aid of LZ's resident porn expert we fitted new front discs, pads, calipers, (which we also painted red for the Chav effect) and wheel bearings.

He also gave me a hand with freeing up of my seized passenger rear door by using the push me pull me method.

While I was awaiting his arrival this morning I also put the finishing touches to my newly aquired spare tow pole.

In all it took a bit longer than planned due to a seized caliper and seized brake pipe union but with brute force and ignorance we overcame all issues thrown at us.

Just for the record too. If anyone has any thoughts about buying a britpart hum nut under the misguided delusion that surely they can't cock up summit so simple, be advised, they can.:mad::mad:

OEM part!!! My arse was it!!!!

Drove mine 260 miles, longest trip in done in it least I can chill out on the beach for a week now. Weather is beaaaaauuuuutiful here in Bude :D

Drove from Oban to Glencoe. Then toward Glen Etive where they filmed part of Skyfall. Then onto Stirling down the M73, M74, M6, A66, A1, A63 then home. My Disco 2 was flawless for the whole journey!

Failed the MOT on 21 things, half of them are trivial and can be sorted without buying owt.

Rest of them is a couple of days work, should be back on the road!

Failing the MOT has sealed the fate of the 109, i shall soon be looking for a 110 to rebuild so i can take the 109 off the road next year!
