The trailer indicator lamp is only fed from the flasher unit, or should be! Do you have a tow bar and a 4 pin flasher unit?

If not then there is defo a false feed coming from somewhere. Do you mean relays in dash or engine bay??

Will have a 'feel' of my relays. Ooh er......

Ps. Happy Birthday KV's Dad 🥳
I have a towbar with normal trailer wiring plus the caravan plug, and the extra pin flasher unit which does the dash light.

oh, and Dad will be pleased to have an LZ birthday greeting. Thanks Andy.

Hi Rank Amatuer,

had a similar issues last week that i am still trying resolve on my FL2. Engine just cranks I was not so lucky with the crank sensor change. Engine cranking healthy but want fire up. I then went on to change the fuel filter and bleed the pipes a number of times thinking it may be clogged. Still want fire up.

any advice appreciated

Craiger

Sorry @Craiger can’t help much. I got a new crankshaft position sensor but haven’t got round to fitting it (sailing got in the way). My fault has not recurred since my first post in the subject.
It is possible all the computers got their canbus knickers in a twist as I’m in the habit of inserting the fob and pressing the engine start button more or less simultaneously.
You could try a hard reset of the computers by disconnecting the battery and, give it a few minutes, short the +ve terminal cable to ground. NOT THE BATTERY! I think this is similar to a full-on reboot of all the on-board computers.

I'm glad you've posted these pics. I nearly chastised you for not putting them on your original post about the rails!
I know, I know!
I forgot to take them when I did the rails the other day, then I thought I’d wait for the bars to arrive 😁

Now realising how high the roof box will be, and pondering how to actually load/unload the thing when it’s on there!!!

You'll need the rear door ladder. Oh dear, F2 has no wheel bracket.

Time to design a ladder mount for an F2 ??
Something to ponder over winter perhaps… probably need to be something collapsible/extending that can stand-off from the roof rail and run down to the floor (to take most of the weight).

I’ll get the box from the shed and put it on over the weekend (and then measure the height and write it down on a sticker inside the car 😉)
In the meantime, I’m looking at collapsible step-type things that I can put in the back when we go, but don’t take up lots of room. Only need to use it a couple of times.

You can also get telecopic free standing step ladders. Not as cool I grant you, but you would be able to move them around the vehicle.
A little more ‘practical’ I guess!
I’m just looking for something small that I can put in the back to take along, without taking up too much cabin space. Also seen some fold-up step/stool things in Jeff’s emporium. Seem to be plastic, but will be much flatter when folded. Will need to check what height I can get away with, and at what point my brain excludes them due to the likelihood of me falling off/breaking the thing!

Hi

I discount battery, unattached all harnesses in passanger side footwell. Pulled out main relay in engine bay fuse box. Waited 30 minutes.....reattached. Place key in ignition only pressing start! Left key in for 20 minutes( battery on trickle charge) just under an hour if waiting.....finger crossed went for the start......YES ! The sound of the old diesel bus returned. I can only put it down to surges within the circuit and ECU.....but this worked
