Getting a clutch replacement today and a slave while hes at it ill health prevents me from doing it myself thank god , the pedal keeps sticking to the floor and i have about an inch of pedal prior to this diagnosis from local landrover mechanic is slave cylinder as the master shows no sign of leaks behind pedal ill keep you up to speed

There was a thread on here recently about them.
Personally I find them dangerous at night as they make an already large A pillar even bigger, and I struggled to see pedestrians trying to commit suicide around me when driving around South London. Those who don't drive in towns will have a different experience I expect.

Finally separated the propshafts from the VCU that one on the front part is a bugger had to get a bigger hammer.

Actually I didn't use the big cold chisal bought some new ones off amazon

Ended up using all three at some point so I had a chisel across both ends of the UJ so it came off square.

well guys freelander td4 diesel back from the garage wounded big time slave was fooked and clutch replaced and a flywheel 604 quid thats 330 for the fly wheel clutch kit was 134 with slave and 140 labour your thoughts please folks

Normally what I do is loosen the prop bolt a few turns, remove tabbed washer, put chisel over bolt head at 90 degrees to prop and tap using the angle of the chisel to make larger space between bolt head and prop. Loosen bolt a few more turns rinse and repeat.
The first time i removed vcu I hit the UJ and slightly damaged where the roller bearings sit causing the uj to be stiff. Got fed up with the vibrations and destroyed my propshaft bearings so did it a different way after that

The freelander pillars are tiny compared to the mirrors of a truck getting in the way when you approach junctions......

Found that the rear bumper had been snagged on something in a previous life and lots of the scrivits were gone and the plastic wheel arch liners were torn at the screw wholes. Removed the bumper and plastic welded the cracks and torn stud points on it. Patched and plastic welded the wheel arch liners screw holes. Refitted and replaced scrivits. There's one scrivit beneath the tail door hinges which is a real b---h to get at! Ah well all good now.

put it up for sale, well one of them anyway. I drove the other to work! this driving a land rover instead of fixing it is a novel thing....

I also suspect that how tall you are affects how big the blind spots are.....
If you've got short legs then the angles of the blind spot are bigger. Longer legs -further away from pillar and hence angles are less and blind spot smaller......
As I could do with the seat going back one more click......... I Would describe myself as a lanky git!
And i don't like driving round London much in a truck, it's a good job most of the trucks I play with are not LEZ compliant!

Couple of bushes, diff nose bush and front brake discs and pads... All of which I expected to be fair!
Getting done on Wednesday as well as new thermostat being fitted, 2.5hrs labour for the thermostat, woohoo
