I did it on my own. I suspect it’s much easier with an extra pair of hands to roll out the material as you smooth it out/down.Thanks mate, that's a wee job for the summer.

Hope the new ones last reasonable time. Anything I have replaced, even when using genuine or OEM parts, never seem to last as long as the original parts.Replaced the drop links yesterday.
Fookin Land Rover unreliability. Only been on the car 25 years.
They still felt perfect when I took them off, but a boot was split, so I was told they need replacing when it was last WOFed and its due again.
I was expecting them to be trashed because there is a quite a knock when going over bumps, or speed bumps not straight on. Its still there obviously, so looks like I'll have to check the ARB bushes.
I did wonder that, and have kept them, but wasn't sure if the boots could be replaced.Fit new boots to old ones and keep for spares for when new ones fail.
The heavy duty ones seem better. Originals are still best.
Point it at the sun next time it shines.Washed and polished mine. If ever there was a thankless task, especially at this time of year. Buffed the headlights. Mixed success; OS pretty good, NS less so. Used Autoglyms kit. Noticed however that the NS had a bit of condensation in at the bottom which is a new thing. Any advice greatly appreciated.![]()

But of course!and the 26 year old F1 was the best looking out of the lot of them!
F1 Freelanders are very well proportioned beside stupid looking fat modern SUV's.Took the F1 along for its WOF today. Took it into the wash bay at work first and gave it a good clean up and water blast. It always looks great when its had a wash.
It was getting late when I dropped it off, so left it in the lines of cars to be done tomorrow and used a works car to come home in. There were about 8 cars in the line, mainly rentals in the COF (like a commercial MOT) line - current and currentish models.
Had a bit of a moment, cos I stood back and looked at all the cars... and the 26 year old F1 was the best looking out of the lot of them!
