I'd have to put the seats down in mine to fit it in the back, and even then I'm not sure the tailgate would close.Plenty big enough, and don't call me Shirley
I guess I could tie it down

How did it drive? Can't really claim credit for it as it was mostly @Nodge68 but front half of the prop back on, along with offside wishbone and track rod end. Even managed a quick drive up the road! Just a drive shaft to do and we're back baby!
Smooth and quiet. The rear diff was particularly silent...How did it drive?
One more for saved for the futureSmooth and quiet. The rear diff was particularly silent...
Slight pull to the left but to be expected given the suspension and steering component changes. Once the driveshaft is swapped it's off for alignment we go.
I'll keep it going as long as I can. Next job on the preservation front is some corrosion prevention on the sills, and the next cosmetic job is the chuffing headlining, which has bothered me for two or three years now. Must pull my finger out!One more for saved for the future
They are getting thin on the ground
Delighted for you
If you want it fixed quick and aren't too worried about making it look factory or just need a temporary fix until you sort it properly then have a look at these.I'll keep it going as long as I can. I think I'd rather support the headlining with my head.If you want it fixed quick and aren't too worried about making it look factory or just need a temporary fix until you sort it properly then have a look at these.
I used them in my car and the results were....... ahem... 'good enough'
I thought I had photos but can't find them. If anyone is interested I'll take a couple and post them.
Hard to argue with this.I think I'd rather support the headlining with my head.
Its the only good reason to have a sunroof in a Land Rover. You never want to open them, because they will break, or the rust will fall out and they will leak... but the trim holds the failing roof lining up in the front.
As for the back, those netting things on the roof hold it up enough for rear seat passengers.
Its only being able to see out the back window that's a problem. Just imagine you're driving a van.
This is the status of my F1 anyway!
I say this only ever sitting in the front and hearing only minor complaints from the back seats. Fair enough, I'm a bit mutton like.
I've seen how 'lazy' you are on your EV thread, and the suspension lift topic and many many other topicsHard to argue with this.
The results are a little 1970's Cadillac looking but better than having the sodding thing drooping onto your head.
I should have taken the headlining out of the old car before scrapping it but at that point I didn't realise the issue and I'm too lazy to do it right.
I've already applied a similar tactic, with some plastic covered drawing pins and some superglueIf you want it fixed quick and aren't too worried about making it look factory or just need a temporary fix until you sort it properly then have a look at these.

Whilst the first bit of this is true, the trim is not holding mine up at the momentIts the only good reason to have a sunroof in a Land Rover. With the correct glue that can stand hot sun. I had a couple of goes at gluing part of mine but I think the glue was rubbish because the one time we had sun over the summer it fell down again.Take the headlining board out and strip it clean and do it once !!
And properly
There are some fabulous threads on here where people have replaced their headlining - mainly in the Disco section I think. With the correct glue that can stand hot sun. I had a couple of goes at gluing part of mine but I think the glue was rubbish because the one time we had sun over the summer it fell down again.
Any suggestions where to get new cloth as mine could do with being replaced?
