Today I cleaned out the TD4 EGR and inlet manifold from my spares car ready to fit to Hubert. Possibly the dirtiest job I have ever done on any car. My manicure will never be the same again.

smashed my nearside mirror does this count.i am absolutely fuming due to noddy driving up middle of road .
should have hit him instead of a parked car .luckily no damage to car I hit.

Changed the injectors for some out of a 75 all is well starts without resembling a smoke machine and the ruff idle has gone but also found diesel on the block between one and two next to the high pressure pump no visible leaks so looks like I’m going to be buying a second handone of them off the 75 and changing the seals before fitting.

Had the two front driveshafts replaced yesterday and I have to admit they have made a bid difference @Nodge68 the squeak I was referring to in a previous post was the front wishbone bushes .Greased them up and the squeak has just about stopped , going to give them another go later

Not today, but a pic from the other day when the site wasn't working. I'm still undecided...

MOT'd it. :D
I think I was lucky tho as the handbrake wasn't working well on the N/S wheel but the guy passed it anyway as the brakes were OK on the foot brake.
I thought it was interesting when I mentioned it had 4WD working he said it was one of the few.

Get underneath it mate. Check out the fuel tank support bracket, the prop shaft, the vcu support bearings. Rear diff bushes. Mine was nice and shiny at the garage, thanks to spending a grand and a lot of frustration, the bitch is now just about top line.
