Nice one - always a relief to pass the test! I had my new used 235/17's fitted. Considering they not much bigger than 225's on paper it do look a bit more like a Tonka Toy - sure its a matter of getting used to, no different to drive - I love it.
I've been using part worn 235/55 17" for the last 3 years -
I get my winter tyres from Ford Cuga and my summers from M-Benz E-class.
You can run them at 2psi less (28) and they are then a tad more comfortable, and more importantly don't wear in the middle of the tread.
