I do, but don't know how to use it

Get yourself the 20L drum

Then you can do a flush after a few weeks


I routinely change my gearbox oil and filter every year !

Gotta preserve the chocolate gearbox ! Lol

Engine oil - Td6
Use either a 5W/30, 5W/40, 5W/50 or 10W/40 oil,

Use either a 0W/30, 0W/40, 5W/30 or 5W/40 oil,

GM Automatic Gearbox oil
Use only Texaco ETL-7045E.
ZF Automatic Gearbox oil
Use only Esso ATF LT 71141.

i used opie oils for all my oils and got a discount through ebay at the time for spending over a certain amount. i use the item below in my v8 petrol but i reckon it would do the TD6 based on the above taken from rave but if you email them they will confirm if its suitable for your tractor..

i also got my gearbox oil from them but mine was the mobil where you need the texaco and they only appear to do a gulf multi vehicle equivalent which according to their main website would be an equivalent but i personally wouldn't stray from the recommended texaco 7045E which is also on ebay.

if you havent got rave this might help but definitely get yourself a copy, you can download it but i bought a cd off ebay for a couple of quid which had loads of manuals i couldnt find on downloads

Go to ASDA and buy 10W 40 semi synthetic diesel engine oil. Change oil and filter every 6000 miles. Engine will last for ever. Most important thing with any diesel is to change oil and filter often.

as long as the oil has an API or ACEA number and you get the correct petrol or diesel type you will be fine Ive noticed some of the really cheap oils (asda smartprice types) don't have these numbers so I would avoid. The 5w30 oils are for more modern engines not really anything to do with mpg, more to do with making sure the oil is thin enough when it's cold to supply the hydraulic followers and other systems such as the variable valve timing etc
