That really looks an able trailer steve, should give you years of towing pleasure:D

Yet to tow it with weight on but it by far passes my needs so far, as for years of towing pleasure I think it will out live the range rover by 10's of years.

I've just been looking on the net for a winch mounting plate for it, so i can fit my electric winch but i can't find anything, does anybody know if ifor williams make them, and if so where I can get one or if someone has one would you be able to share some pictures of it.

Towed this Slitty-eyed camper van to the MOT station today, and it passed first time!

Anyone towed anything with their Range Rover Sport or Gaylander today?:pop2:

towed my home last year, with my last td5 disco and she towed it well and as you can see its a big caravan:D

That's a nice caravan. I want one but I would have to take a trailer test and there's no way I can afford one in the near future. If I get one I would have to get a big one and that just makes it more expensive. I'd rather not have one than spend a lot of money on a smaller one and not be happy with it. I'm thinking 10 years from now I'll get one.

With my little 90 I tow a horse box with 2 stinking beasts in the back. One 14 hands and the other 16 .

I did use a series 2 petrol when I sold my series 3 and coming back from a horse show gave up the ghost on me and refused to pull the box any further ended up getting rescued by a nissan 4x4 very embarrassing.

Last winter i had a loaded DAF LF Truck weighing about 6 tons all up - uphill, on ice. On another night i had a pajero and an asda merc sprinter in tandem, uphill and on hard pack snow. The kid in the pajero couldnt get up the hill solo! God Bless The V8!

have used my RRC to tow stuff around on the farm a few times. best one was a fully loaded forklift truck (probably 5 tonnes all in) that was stuck in soft ground. low 1st and about 1000rpm was all it needed to get it moving. left some nice 6 inch deep ruts in ground too.

V8 power :)

only reason we got this 1 is because we were homeless and needed to save up and pay debts off and got a really good deal with the van, 2 years later and were still here lol. i wouldnt know what to do with a house or how to use stairs:rolleyes:

i towed my zooks regularly, hired trailers to tow a series 3 109, a disco, modified ser 3 100",, then iv owned 14foot caravan and trailer tent.

for work driving a 7.5 tone wagon and towing a 5 tone digger

i do like towing and the bigger the better

Cambelt went in Scotland, local ripoff garage quoted zillions to fix it so the lease company wanted it transported back to civilization:bolt:
so as it could be fixed cheaper.
The V8 towed the bugger 240 miles and we got more than a few big grins on the way back, even one from an AA man :D:D

Were you the driver of the AA van then or were you called in to shift it?

OK, so my regular trailers are a 750kg caravan (ain't that convenient given my driving license!) and a motorbike trailer, both to steam rallies generally, and the occasional classic motorcycle rally!

And yes, that involves two trips there and two trips back, sadly...
