Still haven't cleaned the outside of it yet.

Wee man found the rear has cup holders I never knew it had them.

Also ordered some osram night breaker laser d2s bulbs for it as they seem to be very highly spoken about in the headlight retrofit community.
Also bought the trims to tidy up my interior.
Number plate bulb blew so just ordered bulbs for everything inside and out.
Greased up the brake callipar sliders I was going to do discs and pads all round and handbrake shoes but they seem to be not that old and work fine anyway it also look like front to rear brake pipes have already been done so couldn't do that either.
Wire brushed the towbar and frame fresh black paint on that.
New alternator belt and ac belt.
Cleaned the map sensor since the m57 bmw cars seem to eventually clog them.

This is how brakes should look after a bit of fun. Have you checked your guide pins? Mine have got stuck after days like that and need to be freed up.
I did all the brake caliper pins in fresh grease one of the front pins had gone stiff. I did find the rear diff clunks when the wheels are turned in opposite directions but the front diff doesn't

What do ya'll actually use that rubber matt on the dash for?

I find it tries to fly off the dash with enthusiastic cornering.

Oh..

Added a floor matt too..

My wife got me one of those models as a good luck charm since I went back to school. So far I have passed every test and I attribute that to Chance. Although they don't make them in Oxford Blue so she got me green.

Check for lateral movement in the prop/diff

P38's short stubby pinon and (close bearings) aren't famed for their strength..

The input shaft is solid, no up and down or in and out movement.
Ooer nurse... There's a little more play between the pinion and ring gear than I'd like but after 217.000mls it'll be a little slack. Both the front and rear diffs have the same play but the front doesn't make the same noise as the rear..
No noise on acceleration or deceleration either?

The H17 arrived... but something much worse happened. Turns out no one round here has a 50mm socket, and trying to use an F-Type resulted on much pain to my shin. This is going about as well for me as it did for RRDT...
