Still enjoying it then Colin? Guess you got that problem sorted by the dealer, Been off line for a while so lost the outcome of your previous post. ;)
Got most things sorted Alan but the air-con is back to being a no-no. They're willing to take it back for a fix, but domestically I have a few things to sort first which will probably mean by the next ice age I will have my air-con back! I'm heading off on a decent run this week to take Mrs B to spend time with the grand children in Herts and then her sister in Worcs - we'll just leave the windies open. Hope you well and getting some sun in Tricky.

Hi Colin, I'm back in England at the moment, got off the Island before the temperature goes off the scale.Glad to hear your both still active.;) I feel fine at the moment, just marking time till I can get behind the wheel again.Have a safe journey and enjoy yourselves. Regards.

Today I removed the crank sensor, put a multimeter across the black and black white connectors and got a resistance reading. Checked the red /? connection for volts with the ignition on. Got a low voltage reading. All refitted then decided to remove the rocker covers to replace the gaskets. Since the engine is suposed to be only 4k miles old I was pleased to see all looked new .cleaned the covers ready for painting. I was going to leave them wire brushed but one is a bit pitted.Going for black crackle finish.

Wash then clay barred it.
Washed again then paint renavator.
Coat of autoglym resin polish.
Then a coat of canabura wax.
Used my new wheel woolies, brought up the wheels like new.
Then polished my new pipes.

That's a beautiful example!!

What happened to your stainless side steps?

Thanks Henry_b,
I do like to see her shine and put in a lot of time and effort in making her look her best most of the time, I removed the stainless side steps because I thought that stuck out a bit too far and ruins the lines of it, am thinking about some black LR ones they seem to look better to me.

I believe side steps add an extra something to the lines of the P38. ;)

Don't get me wrong she looks amazing without them, but the Black LR ones would look very nice.. :)

They are one of the first upgrades i plan on adding to my Vogue. :D

Bump.
Oh alright then, gave it a wash and had a go at adjusting the steering box. That went OK actually and has made a bit of a difference, the bummer is that while faffing about with that both front wheel bearings seem to need a bit of adjustment. :(:(
As I am due to make yet another quick trip back to the UK it's just as well I noticed that before it got to the next stage, the "fecking hell are they really that bad" stage.

Changed the heater matrix o rings just to cure the leak so I can use the the car this coming week waiting for new heater matrix to be delivered next week a Audi one so can do away with the o ring set up

Traced a mystery battery drain iv been having the last few days to my dsp amp. The amp has been loseing sound intermittently recently. Disconnect and reconnect it all works ok. Except today and battery vokts low and dropping before my eyes disconnect the amp battery stabilises.

Time for my new android install then thats been sitting on my bench the last couple of months.20180720_203314.jpg

Adjusted the front wheel bearings on both sides, did the 1st one in record time, sat inside having a rosy-lea and realised I hadn't backed off the nut a bit before reassembling,:( so did it again. Have to say much easier using my brand new 1/2" drive hub nut socket than it was with the old tube type one.

Test drive afterwards and it was soon clear how bad the steering was before, you just get used to something that gets bad VERY slowly and don't notice it.

All good now so happy bunny.:):)

Drove her from Catterick, to Hounslow, to Shrewsbury. 415 miles and "only" 65 litres of fuel burnt. Which apparently means I got 29mpg. Which I was surprised by tbh. Still stupidly expensive when blokes I work with can do 500 miles on 40 quid. :(

But not in the style you travelled in,would you be seen dead on a moped.:D

Put the battery on charge (again).
While the "usual suspects" are out of the equation; without regular longish journeys the battery drops below 12.4V after only 3 or 4 days.
I clearly either need a new battery, or, there's a significant parasitic drain happening.
Need to find the time to see what's happening (when I can get some day's free of sodding grand-kids).
