Washed her and took her for a drive over to Dumbarton. Nice day for a drive, apart from the idiots around me
Agreed..come this far in. If I can see tarmac through the piston pot, there can't be much more I can take apart. ASSUMING..the crank faces are clean, (please , please please) the bearing shells aren't a million quid a set and I know it's good from there upwards.Mrs Bagshots credit card doesn't know what's coming..you're in there change them!
Drove her to London. The vibration through steering wheel is back. Noticed it when I got her back after the last breakdown. They changed the front ball joints as they were a bit clunky. Got wheel alignment and balance done a few days ago, to see if it would help. The 500 mile drive South proved it didn't. So she'll have to go back to the garage when I get home.
It's a pain because I'd just got the damn vibration fixed!
Bushes?
I did wonder if I'd got the wrong sort of bushes. Right - let me check google imagesClose. Although I believe most specimens are shaved smooth of waxed these days.

No idea but would have thought if they were doing ball joints , because he thought she felt clunky, they would have looked at those too? I'm off to Catterick next week and then home, finally, the week after. So she'll have to wait until thenBushes?

kate bush in front of a bush - any closer?
They're actually very good and also trustworthy. What I meant was , they were checking her over and found the ball joints were an issue, if they had seen the bushes were an issue they would have told me.Check the bill. Doubt they did anything other than they had to.
