Well done sire!Took Thomas (the p38) out again, with new water pump and viscous coupling, temp seemed mostly 93-94. Idling, sat at 94-95, hitting 96 briefly.
Sounds like progress!!
Thanks! That just leaves the exhaust outstanding before i get on to the myriad of other planned jobsWell done sire!

IL6 petrol could be nice! V8 tooAlso popped in and had a look at the New Pretender As a new car its very nice with all the gadgets, they have tried to keep some sort of defender traits (if thats a way to describe them). But as a Defender replacement NO. Was told by the salesman they will be fitting an inline 6 next year and he has taken orders for them rather than the present 1. All i can say is they should have kept it as a dirty workhorse, they have plenty of that type of car in their range at the moment. Oh there is room for a V8 under the bonnet

what about a 2" lift?
We filmed in Liverpool, couldn't believe how good the beaches are there, they look great (we was pretending it was the USA)
Took out the beast today for 100 mile round trip
It was really nice, but have developed a reluctance to pull well from below 2k rpm feels like a misfire, kick it down and off she goes. So i guess i will have to have a set of plugs & Leads at the ready, think plugs have been in 3k now, and leads are about 8yrs old and it does get hot under that bonnet. must get the manifolds wrapped, although it seems a shame to cover up those works of art.
If i am gonna be in there for that may as well do oils and filters.
I feel a shopping list coming

Saw one on the road yesterday. Fugly and very school-run looking.
It should have been given a different name....I wouldn’t say it’s ugly, it has quite an aggressive look to the front. But have to agree it will be another school run “look at me I got a defender”
Not for us
