Have I missed something here.. surely for the cost of a seal kit, two parts of the equation could be proven.. or eliminated
If you don’t have mil lamp flashing Just do the seals for now or your pump will die quick, they are cheap enough, no need to go full strip down yet.
Recon the injectors one at a time, you get one put it in then send the old one off for exchange like @Bagshot did - works out cheap enough and vehicle not layed up for weeks in the rain
If you go the whole hog now you will get carried away for sake of a seal

Drove it to a fishing shop as i am going night fishing tomorrow with the youngest and got the dreaded beep beep alternator fault and the battery picture come up on idle, ok cant take the p38 tomorrow will look at it over the weekend when i get back
Try fitting your old gubbins with the 13.8V setpoint to get you going. Still got mine if you haven't.
