I changed the rear diff oil a couple of months back. No sign of a leak. Dunno about the breather.

That's a good point. I thought they were all 150A

105 amp on the diesel and I thought early V8's were lower than 150 amp.

Some Googling sez that hub seal is prime candidate for my black goo. How hard are they to replace?

I'm not sure, the sticker on the top is unreadable and it's a replacement engine, the alternator was left on so i have no clue

My 4.6 Thor is a 150amp unit.

Is vastly superior to swarfega. First came across it at a customer in Holland. Bloody marvellous stuff
Pea sized amount with a touch of water and it gets the dirtiest hands super clean!
