Here you go...hopefully picture is here, still cant figure this:confused:
Anyway, the fixing brackets were welded to stainless steel strips & with some heavy duty bonding tape they stick onto the panels so no drilling & fitting inserts. Time will tell whether the bond holds but i gave them a bloody good tug & they wont budge.

Today was a day of P38 highs and lows.
High = fitted my new MkIII sat nav system. Works a treat and finally the screen in the dash does something.
Low = LPG system is being erratic, despite a recent service. LPG fuel level is all over the shop, and I had to flick back and forth to petrol several times on the 35 minute journey to work. If I didn't know better I'd say there was air in the system. I might try topping it up with LPG tomorrow to see if that helps matters.

Hi Mate,

I got mine second hand off the bay from P38 Spares (i was going to paint them anyway so wasn't bothered if they were faded etc). TBH i wasn't expecting the modified brackets until i got them & so i'm not sure if these type brackets are readily available. I was thinking these were a one-off previous owner had made but there is a full set on the bay with the same brackets - see link

They are a bloody good idea & i dont mind producing drawings from mine if anybody wants to get some made. There's also some pics on my profile of the brackets & fitment etc.

Very true, i cleaned up each surface & used some 3M tape we use to bond glass panels to carcasses for the furniture we manufacture. Hopefully it will last...fingers crossed. If not i'll have to get the drill out.
Hope you get the rangie back on the road soon fella.
