Stripped my c**ting knuckles trying to replace propshaft......I'll just get by with one who needs two !!

Quality British engineering my f**king eye !!!

Although I firmly believe the trick to owning one of these is to just buy any old **** p38 as cheap as possible - live with it for 6 months then when you come to realising your going to stay with it - go buy a proper one !!

I used to own 3 classics when did I miss them tripling in price ???!!!

Given the hour of posting it technically happened yesterday... But, I brought my cd changer back from the dead!! :D

It now loads, reads and plays discs, including ones I've burnt myself, quite happily. Am thoroughly chuffed with myself! :)

On the topic of light guards (and side steps, bull bars etc) I'm firmly in the nooooo camp.

Martyn I think your car looks really good as it stands to be honest, light guards are not needed!

On wheels, comets look good, as do hurricanes. I've just bought a set of silver hurricanes to replace the black ones on my car and can't wait until they are fitted.

TBH i've been toying with the idea of fitting light guards (rears) for a while & got a good deal on the bay. They came with special brackets to allow adhesive fitment so no drilling required. If i'm not keen i can always take them off & sell them on without making holes in the panels.
I need the side steps on mine as wifey is small.....& 6 months pregnant:)

Just insured the old girl as am back in the UK next month, £277 for 12months fully comp, very reasonable.
