my old Vogue will be getting the transplant, the 4.6 in it will come out and also be rebuilt and then either sold. or kept for a future project..
The 5.2 will go in, it is an RPI block that was balanced and blueprinted, however it was mistreated and at the moment is just a paperweight.. :D
they can easily handle 400hp in the 5.0+ litre form, so that is the goal. :)

Hmm, wonder how easily that 4.6 would mate up to my R380 ...

Are you not doing the electric fan mod?
Looking forward to driving mine back from englandshire. :D
You drove all the way in the P38? When you mentioned the channel tunnel, I thought you had gone by train.
from where you are, the Newhaven/Dieppe is a better option, costs more than the tunnel but you will save on the fuel and autoroute charges. Call in on the way past if you want a break.

Cheers Keith, we may do that.
It was a panic mission after hearing about my mother. We have looked into other ferries but don't know any different but we can look into you suggestion.
The tolls weren't as much as they have been in previous years oddly!!
We could have gone in the Volvo but it has a slipping clutch and can bus problems... F*cking thing...
Thanks for your idea. ;)
It was actually great driving the bus all that way.

Been back in mine many a time. Newhaven Dieppe is a 4 hour crossing away from all the gimmgrunts and cuts a lot of kilometres off the trip and the traffiv jams around the tunnel/Dover. Last time I looked, off peak sailings one way could be had for £90 or less, tot up the fuel and tolls and for me it worked out cheaper. I like boats, I used to sail across the channel in my little boat, so four hours and a not too bad dinner en-route suited me.
