They crash tooYou have a steam train.... it won't work in that
Cutting the hole is the way to go, the amount of times now I would have had to drop the tank don't bear thinking aboutCleared the crap out of the boot and got tools together. Had to go and buy yet another Stanley knife as I can't find any of the dozens I already own. After this mug of tea I'm gonna cut a hole in my boot.
No way was I dropping the tank on my own on the driveway. Hole cut, bit of a clean, liberally soaked in Plusgas. I'll give it a while to soak.Cutting the hole is the way to go, the amount of times now I would have had to drop the tank don't bear thinking about

And done. No leaks that I can see, all running well. Ended up with a blow torch to crack the nuts apart.
Wont take long to drain it if a V8 just let it tick over for a while.Only had to do mine once so far. It isn't heavy when empty. Not a hard job. Hardest part os draining it!
Yeah, gonna leave it unzipped for a week. Still haven't decided how I'm going to seal it yet. Seems dumb to weld it if they go regularly. And the test drive.....
Then check for leaks before sealing it up
Nope, bought a cheap one. Funds are tight with crimbo coming up.You had a VDO pump right?
Dopeys kept going coz he kept buying cheap pumps. They don’t last 6 months usually. Something missing from OE design on them too.
I got some gutter seal, it's a strip with one side that's sticky did a good job sealing it, if I have to get in again just use a sharp knifeYeah, going to leave it unzipped for a week. Still haven't decided how I'm going to seal it yet. Seems dumb to weld it if they go regularly.
