Autocorrect is killing me. And he is a mischievous little bugger, but he'll learn the ropes.

Aye, the wife wanted something to make her feel safe while I am away with work and I wanted something that's be OK with going on runs with. Maybe teach a few tricks.
Border Collies are great dogs, so intelligent, I've had three. They can become very protective, when my daughter was young, she had one and it would not let any bloke including me near her:eek::D

Hopefully he doesn't become that protective. But we're hoping he is protective enough the wife feels safe. Failing that, we have a derpy dog who is very cute. Either way is a victory.

My daughter had trouble with her landlord entering her flat uninvited, so she taught the dog to dislike men. Landlord did not come back after being bitten! The dog eventually got to like me after a man came into my daughters life, he was a roofer and the dog would sometime go to work with him. Trouble was the dog would climb the ladder onto the roof given the chance, no problem going up when he would lay on the roof or scaffolding and watch the work but he could not go down a ladder and had to be carried:eek:

We had a collie like that for my sister when I and her husband would go away to work. An ex para tried to enter the house, for some strange reason, while she was there alone.
Dog did not allow it.

He made sure she was safe til his dying day. Unbelievable loyalty - to her alone. Make sure before you go away he has your scent in his nose/bed

Used it to go and get a new mouth to feed. Was happily surprised the lil guy pretty much slept the whole way home. Only to spend 10 minutes running around the garden before dropped his bodyweight in turns on the middle on the lounge floor.

Sandy ran without a hitch.

Make sure he goes to doggie school and is trained properly. If not he'll chew the house to pieces. Trained they're an absolute joy.

Well Socks has decided that the Wife is the Alpha and as such listens to her every command and has a tendency to ignore me... I mean, I aren't saying she isn't, but the dog didn't have to work it out in under 24 hours.

I AM ALPHA HEAR ME ROAR... Although I'm clearly not the alpha to Bix as my P38 is still 100 miles away at the old house :(
