Have you fitted it yet? I have NRV's on the way as well. Top tip, thanks Mark
Putting the pump in on Saturday, ive an Audi 2.0tfsi on the ramp with a jammed open injector!! The replacements are here tomorrow so i can use the ramp to lift the front or rear wheels allowing a bit of space to drop the tank:confused:..
The tip was great advice passed on from the crystal ball holders amongst us!;) you are welcome. "Thumbs up icon"... Where is it?

Oh for a ramp, a 2 post lift would be nice, my pit is a bit cramped for dropping fuel tanks, gearboxes etc.

A 2 post i wish. Mine is a scissor lift for the moment until head hight and money permit... Being at the autopreneur status means no bank will touch you for a loan and all your tools are paid for out of your own pocket.. so some tools arrive a bit slower than others... Still it neary earns a wage. Much better than being in any factory, for me anyhow:D

A scissor lift would do me fine placed over the pit which is only a metre deep. Can I ask where you got the lift from?
Second hand lifts come up quite often over here, seems some of the bigger garages replace them every 10 years regardless of condition.
Good luck with business, much harder here than it used to be in the UK when I had my little business.

Or losing the precious 10mm in the fookin gravel on my drive!:mad::D

Pain n the arse i tell ya :D
..Or creating a Brunel engineering feat just get the old girl level on that slopey drive .. then find you should have jacked up the other end coz there ain't enough room at this end after all.. so drop it down.. turn it round.. start again back up the slope..:mad::mad:

And all is good in the small part of my world... Now the leak from the back of the fip which the new intank pump has brought forth??!! Once again into the bloody manifold off game.. im going to fit it back with elastic..

Finally passed its MOT today - only two adviseries.

So now it's up for sale, don't want a lot for it - I'll put an ad on in the next day or two. And when I look at the big empty space on my drive, it'll be time to check into a post P38 Treatment Centre.

I take it you don't yet have the in the floor hole under your back seat then Mark? Best you do it while the tank is out. Makes it much easier to change the lift pump next time.

Your car must have heard me talking about the leaking o ring at the back of the FIP and decided to show you what I meant! Your a mechanic and I'm a victim - you at least have the real skills :D:D

There be no holes under my seat arrgg! Thats why i bought the vdo unit. I do not want to go back in there again....

Ever.....

After doing the pump cap seals the rear is the next logical seal to go!! Added to the list along with the headliner, front axle damp seals and that nasty dent on the rear quarter panel!!!:D
