I unboxed the new power steering pipes, and had a good stare and a think.
Job for the weekend, methinks.
Mostly I was thinking "These pipes don't look right", but I'll keep an open mind until I get the old ones off.
Check before you take the old ones of, you may have to change them if they are wrong.
Good advice Alan. If they don't look right, don't take your old ones off! Slightly different but we all know someone that's drained their diff oil etc and not been able to get the fill plug undo to fill it up again....
They need changed anyway as ****ing ATF on the floor now. Parked up in my garage for a couple of weekends at least anyway, as had already decided it was time to replace my oil cooler pipes before I started prodding away at the corrosion on the power steering.
Nice bit of old-school Landy design, how the metal part of the pipes runs right along the bottom of the radiator for maximum exposure to salt and assorted road crap, but then the originals have lasted 16 years, so can't complain too much!
As long as there isn't a sudden and unexpected flurry of snow in the next few weeks, I can live without the Rangey on the road for a bit.

When I had to change my oil cooler pipes I had to change the cooler as well because the pipes ripped the threads out of the connections. Steel and aluminium together cause problems.
Domino, you can get a spark plug thread chaser to clean the threads out, less than a tenner may save a bit of buggering about.
