What did you do with your Range Rover today

I know they say crank position sensors either work or they don't - well try telling that to my car! It feels like a Ferrari compared to how it was, throttle response is now crisp and immediate - she charges along on half throttle like she used to (I presumed the engine was getting tired at 150K+ miles) tickover is now rock steady. The old sensor was not loose or bent. I wonder if it could have gone back in a slightly different position giving me more advance? Coz I would swear that it has transformed my car - yes I know the cold hard facts! :lalala: :D Still, mustn't grumble - I got more than I bargained for!
 
Getting a frame made up to pull two things like gates with pins into drag around the horses fields and some weights made up for roller to pull around afterwards looks like low 1or2 will be getting a work out

It may be nice but however nice and fancy they are they're still just a machine to carry my arse about. Its going to cost a fortune one day..... so while it's still a cheep motor it can work aswell as pleasure. Once i get my van up and motd it'll save the rangie doing 100+ mile a day. No reason it cant work look after it and keep ontop of things should be okay for another 150k haha

I can believe it. I've had sensors start to get funny with a hot engine and then work perfectly when cold. Anything is possible!
 
New shiny set of plug leads, new headlamp wiper blades (it's the little things! ). Oh and removed the rubbish standard mudflaps that don't even cover the whole tyre in preparation for something much bigger...

Had a similar thing this week. Mine was getting very sluggish on petrol, not so bad on LPG. Decided to get a new Bosch MAF sensor whilst buying an obscene amount of stuff for the new engine build. Back to life again, thought it was just my current engine on it's last legs.:)
 
Left it sat at home so far mabye take her a wonder later on.. off tomorrow to clean it inside out for a funeral on Thursday.
 
1986 classic 200tdi and manual box, been lying under it again allday today, when i did the mod fitting the 200tdi and manual box just got it all finished and found the gearbox kaput, the dreaded spline ware, managed to get hold of a good gearbox with cross drilled gear cluster, so its all come out again today, fitting the good g/box and putting my transfer box back, over the rest of the week.
