Depends on your gauge, 0=1 bar; 0 psi actual is a vacuum. So your water pressure is maybe 4 psi + 16 psi. Sounds daft but i know what I mean! An oil gauge on one of my buses sits at 16 psi when disconnected as it's reading atmospheric pressure.

You really are confusing yourself. ATM is 14.9 psi.
Gauges are set at 0 at ATM so it’s all a pressure above and equal on both sides so that doesn’t matter. :vb-confused2:.

I feel bad now bitchin about the struggle I've had removing the tank to fit the new pump that's been on the shelf since just before Xmas.

Was there any gunk in there? It’s in the bottom cylinder part, it opens up and there’s a filter in bottom looks like a tea bag
