Went to fit new ABS accumulator but the old one won't budge! Should they "just" unscrew or need a strap wrench of some sort?

Fitted the new to me steering wheel after changing the bottom plastic boss which was damaged in transit. When tested the volume buttons didn't work !! Stripped the ones out of my old wheel and changed them. All back together and the seller has made a partial refund for the problems I had. Result, and thank you GMH vehicle recyclers Cardiff, pleasure doing business with you.

Eventually got my rear bumper off, had to attack it with an angle grinder. Surprised to see that the mounting arrangements are replaceable so ordered two new rear mounting brackets and one side mounting bracket. Chassis itself is completely rust free so bit of a result as I thought I'd have to get the Mig welder out to rebuild the mounts. Changed over the colour coded inserts to the new bumper. I'll give it all a good coat of Waxoyl tomorrow ready for re-installation when the new bits arrive next week. Unfortunately I'll have to use my other car for a few days (Porsche 944 Turbo SE - 250 BHP of pure fun!!!) as the wife will want to use the family car (VW Golf).

broke it! well the sodding metal valve on one tyre.

one dust cap was too tight to get off by hand so get the pliers on it, and snapped the valve off!

BLOODY ANNOYING

Checked the brakes & VCU, greased the props, checked all fluids & tyre pressures, fitted the dash cam and tacked the headling up with some plastic studs ready for our UK trip

Paid my repair bill. £1060.80. There goes my daily driver savings. :(

[edit: oh yes, and I think the heater plugs are giving up the go. Slow to strike up recently.]

Ie is it standard or reverse thread ? going either way makes no difference !
